The MBF Hawks Express hit the road to visit the first of ten eager schools in line to receive the Hawks In Schools program.
First up was Stanley Primary School, situated on the north-west coast of Tasmania.
Stanley Primary is attended by just 40 students. The main attraction of the small tourist town of Stanley is its Nut.
The Stanley Nut is a gigantic rock loosely described as a miniature Uluru, which stands tall over the small town on the peninsula.
The day started with a school assembly featuring a jovial group sing-along of the Club song.
University students Levi, Robert, Jordan and Kristy engaged the children in their lesson plan involving watching a short DVD of Hawka at the gym and finding out what activities he likes to do outside of football.
Everyone was eager to interact with Hawka, even helping him pick out a healthy lunch for the day.
Following the assembly students moved outdoors into the sunshine for some exciting activities.
The students are to be highly praised for their excellent attitude and great support toward the Hawthorn Football Club.
An amazing 80 per cent of the students were Hawks supporters and greatly appreciated the MBF Hawks In Schools visit.
