The Hawthorn Football Club is pleased to confirm that Chris Fagan will join the Club as Head of Coaching and Development.

Fagan will move to Hawthorn following 10 years with the Melbourne Football Club, three as General Manager Football Operations and the previous seven as an assistant coach.

Fagan continues the fine tradition of Tasmanians involved with the Hawks, where he enjoyed great success as a star player in the TFL and coached North Hobart and the Tassie Mariners (Under 18s) before he joined the Demons in 1998.

Hawthorn General Manager of Football Operations, Mark Evans said, “Chris brings a wealth of experience to head up our development program and to oversee and fast track the progress of players from the day they are drafted to the Club, and throughout their careers.

“Additionally, he’ll play a major role in the mentoring and development our coaching staff.”

Fagan is set to join the Hawks in October, in preparation for the 2008 pre-season.
