SHANE Crawford displayed his trademarkfighting spirit on Sunday against the Swans, being named best on ground for theHawks, and earning a nomination for the AFL Army Award.
Crawford was relentless all afternoon andwas rewarded with the nomination for his hard chase and desperate tackle on EdBarlow, then recovering quickly to gain possession for the Hawks in the lastquarter of the loss.

New to the 2007 season, the Army Award aimsto recognise and reward the one-percent style acts such as game-breakingsmothers, tackles and shepherds.
Now that we have reached the end of the22-round home-and-away AFL season, the AFL All-Australian Selection Committeewill soon shortlist the 22 weekly winners to six nominations which will then bevoted on by the public via afl.com.au.
The All-Australian selection committee willthen endorse the winner.
TheAFL Army Award winner will receive a $10,000 Army Experience. The award will beofficially presented at the 2007 Coca-Cola All-Australian presentation dinner.
