The Hawthorn FC Corporate Golf day was held at Kingswood Golf Club on Thursday 18 February 2010. It was a perfect day for golf, with the sun shining and the course in immaculate condition, almost 90 competitors took to the course.

Special guests on the day included former Hawthorn FC Players Richie Vandenberg, Trent Croad and Kris Barlow, as well as Member of the Board Bruce Growcott and Hawthorn CEO Stuart Fox.

Teams enjoyed 18 holes of golf in Ambrose format, taking part in various competitions around the course including; longest drives, nearest the pins and also a Srixon Demo tent where they could try out some new drivers.

Nearest the Pin winners on the day were Michael Sankey from Sankey Security and Glass, Matt Crewe from HSBC Bank Australia, John Barker from Hawthorn FC and Ray Wiseman from Thiess Pty Ltd.

Longest Drive winners were Kris Barlow, former Hawthorn FC Player and guest of HSBC Bank Australia who took home an amazing prize donated by Tourism Tasmania and Barnbougle Dunes and Mark Mastores from HSBC Bank Australia took out the second longest drive, taking home a 2010 Hawthorn FC team signed guernsey.

Prizes on the day were kindly donated by Callaway, The House of Golf (Malvern store), Tourism Tasmania and Barnbougle Dunes and Tamar Ridge Wines.

Runners up for the day were Tote Tasmania, their team was made up by Troy Little, Robert Watts, Peter Watts and Matthew Suckling from Hawthorn FC. They finished with a Net score of 54.25 for the day.

Winners of the 2010 Hawthorn FC Golf Day were RICOH Australia, with Paul Chodziesner, Andrew Meier, Simon Giles and David Rath from Hawthorn FC taking the trophies home with a Net score of 52.375.

It was a great day out for all involved, and now we look forward to the 2011 Corporate Golf Day.
