Stairway of Memories
Visitors to the Hawks Museum should not miss seeing the recently opened, Stairway of Memories from Glenferrie, Princes Park & Waverley Park.
The stairway from the Museum foyer that links level 2, has over 70 pieces of Hawks memorabilia on display.
On display are the Honour boards that hung in the Social Club and the Tuck Stand, signage from our former home grounds, and the Crimmins portrait from the dressing rooms.
Jason Dunstall's $1000 cheque for his 1000th goal is displayed, aswell as team photos that feature teenagers: Chris Langford, Dermott Brereton and Russell Morris in the Eyres Squad, the Under 19's last team with Russell Greene coaching, a young Mark Graham and Justin Leppitsch who later to become a star at Brisbane.
The famous Glenferrie clock also features, and the photo of Shayne Stevenson's famous goal with a broken foot will add to the flood of memories as you climb the 'Stairway of Memories'.
