- 2008 Grand Final, nothing better than winning a Grand Final as the underdog. Absolutely loved the 3rd quarter blitz and the celebrations at Fed. Square afterwards.
- 2007 Qualifying final against Adelaide, “the arrival of Buddy”, what a game, what a finish and 7 great goals from Buddy.
- 1989 Grand final, absolutely high class game full of dramas, Dermie kicking the goal after being KO’d, and the Hawks holding on bravely in light of numerous injuries to star players during the game.
- 1991 grand final at Waverley, seeing the Hawks reclaim their mantle as premiers after a disappointing end to the 1990 finals campaign and the broken sequence of consecutive grand finals.
- Marveling at the exploits of Jason Dunstall, especially the game he kicked 17 goals against Richmond.
- The sheer brilliance of Darren Jarman in full flight.
- 1983-1989, consecutive grand finals, what more can you say.
- Dermie being Dermie, either taking marks and kicking goals or using his
- Ben Dixon’s goal after the siren in 2001 win against Carlton
- Cyril Rioli turning it on in numerous games
