Bateman to miss because of thigh soreness
MIDFIELDER Chance Bateman will miss Sunday's round three AFL game against the Kangaroos because of thigh soreness.
Bateman was named in an expanded squad to play at Telstra Dome but pulled up sore after Thursday's training session.
He has been replaced in the Hawks squad by tall utility Josh Thurgood.
Hawthorn will announce its finalised side on Friday night.
