Hawthorn Football Club has been informed by unrestricted free agent Clinton Young he has agreed to terms with Collingwood Football Club.

Despite a considerable offer made to Young by the Hawks, he has elected to depart the Club under new free agency rules.

“Clinton and his family were a big part of the Club and it’s disappointing he has chosen to leave,” Senior Coach Alastair Clarkson said.

“While it’s disappointing to lose a member of our 2012 Grand Final team, and a long-time contributor to our Club, player movement is a reality in the free agency market,” Senior Coach Alastair Clarkson said.

Hawthorn Football Club thanks Young for his service and contribution.
