Hawks forward Jack Gunston says he's enjoying playing footy the Hawthorn way by learning from senior forwards Lance Franklin, Jarryd Roughead and David Hale.

"From the moment I got here they've definitely helped me through pre-season and fast-tracked my learning of the Hawthorn way." He said from training on Thursday.
