St Patricks prevail through tough conditions
NEC Tassie Hawks Cup, Northern Division Grand Final.
St Patrick’s College v Prospect High School
In atrocious conditions at St Patricks College in Launceston, it was St Patricks College who were too good for last year’s champions Prospect High School.
In a low scoring affair, it was St Patricks College who adapted to the wet and windy conditions to record a solid victory scoring 3.7.25 to 0.6.6.
St Patrick’s Mitchell Jones was the only multiple goal scorer on the day with 2 goals and with teammate Kyle Turmine chipping in with one goal.
The game was played in great spirit and there were a number of hard physical clashes with the conditions making it hard to handle the ball.
St Patrick’s College will now face Clarence High School and Ulverstone High School in the NEC Tassie Hawks Cup grand final day at Aurora Stadium on Wednesday 2 September.
