Lewis had been reported by a field umpire for allegedly striking the Kangaroos’ Daniels Harris. However, the Review Panel found that Lewis had pushed with an open hand to the upper chest and neck region, with the action not constituting a strike, and withdrew the charge.
Elsewhere, Hawthorn forward, Tim Boyle, will be amongst a host of players vying for selection this week following a fitness test. Boyle, who suffered a hamstring strain in the Hawks Round 13 win over the Pies, may partner Lance Franklin, who is recovering well, having missed Sunday’s match against the Kangaroos through illness.
Young-gun, Xavier Ellis, will also have a fitness test, recovering from a bruised hip against the Saints in Round 16. Sam Mitchell should again be available for selection (tight calf) as should Mitch Thorp (tight quad), following his promising debut against the Tigers in Round 15.
