Four more rounds revealed in latest fixture release

Harry Pepper (Nine disposals, three handball receives, one tackle)

It was a solid game from Pep. I thought he played his role really well. He had some great relentless efforts, chase down tackles and worked hard to get back to help his team mates. His team mates love playing with him because his effort is always there. His aerial work was good too, he looked strong in the air.

Jacob Koschitzke (12 disposals, six handball receives, five marks)

His intent continues to improve, he is playing well at the moment when he finds his man defensively and then plays the game from there. After quarter time, Kossie and Harts were able to cut off a number of short leads, with some great efforts defensively.

Michael Hartley (23 disposals, 11 marks, five tackles, five rebound 50s, four inside 50s)

Harts has been one of our most consistent players in Sydney. He had a great game again. He had a good match up with Swan Sam Reid, and I thought, after the first quarter, he was able to get on top of him. He got caught a little off guard early, but was able to bounce back after tightening up on those short leads. With ball in hand he was great again, making the right decisions. He helps set us up from back there, creating so many opportunities for us.

Changkuoth Jiath (20 disposals, seven marks, seven handball receives, eight rebound 50s)

CJ had his second game back from a hamstring injury, and he had a really strong game for us. He looked really sharp, and his work rate was at a really high level. He worked really hard to support back to help his other defenders. He got his hands on the footy, and helped us exit the ball from D50 eight times. He gave us good defensive stability, and was able to help create movement from his work rate

Damon Greaves (19 disposals, seven marks, three tackles, three inside 50s)

It was a strong game from Greaves. He played mostly on the wing, and it’s good to see him getting some continuity in that position. He had strong running patterns, and looking sharp in the defensive parts of the game. He also looked good with ball in hand and made the right decisions.

Jarman Impey (14 disposals, five marks, five rebound 50s)

Jars had his second game back from his knee reco. He has looked really confident with his movement and his fitness looks great as we expose him to more game time each week. He has looked really sharp, and has had some classic Jars plays rebounding the ball with pace from the backline.

Ned Reeves (12 disposals, 19 hit-outs, three clearances, two tackles)

Big Ned had a very solid game in the ruck. I thought he got better in the ruck as the game went on. He had some good follow up efforts again, which have been a trademark of his game over the last few weeks, including some ferocious tackling for a big ruck!

Keegan Brooksby (Eight disposals, seven marks, 31 hit-outs, two goals)

Brooksby is just the ultimate professional. He rocks up each game with a great attitude and has become the father figure of this young side. He has lead really well with his strong voice and footy smarts. He has been sharing ruck duties with Reeves, but has also been able to impact the scoreboard when he plays up forward.

Finn Maginness (19 disposals, five marks, six tackles, three clearances, three inside 50s, one goal)

Finn has been improving in each game he has played. He is still mastering the Hawthorn game plan, but his body size has allowed him to compete each week. He played a very solid game, and was very clean over the ball. His mid craft work around the stoppages looked very solid this week. He had some good relentless pressure plays which help to keep him involved in the play.

James Cousins (19 disposals, nine handball receives, four marks, four tackles, five clearances, six inside 50s, one goal)

Cuzzy has been a very strong performer in the games we have played in Sydney. He has been putting in consistent performances playing mainly as a midfielder. He has also been able to hit the scoreboard, kicking a goal on the weekend and having six inside 50’s.

Harry Jones (27 disposals, seven marks, six handball receives, seven tackles, three clearances, three inside 50s)

After tasting an AFL game a couple of weeks ago, Jonesy has come back with a fantastic attitude, striving to get back into the AFL side. He was again one of the stronger performers in the game, winning plenty of the ball whilst being super clean in the stoppages.

Conor Glass (20 disposals, nine handball receives, five marks, five clearances, three inside 50s, three rebound 50s, one goal)

Glassy has been playing more midfield and wing over the past few weeks. This has meant we have been able to see his running capacity and speed around the ball, and his stronger body has been very noticeable around stoppages. He has been very consistent in the Sydney games, working back to help out the defenders or pushing forward to link up with the forwards.

Jackson Ross (14 disposals, six marks, two inside 50s, two rebound 50s, one goal)

Rossy has had a good mixture of stints on the wing and at half forward. He has been very dangerous with ball in hand, using his penetrating kick to good effect. He has been working on his contested work and that has been a noticeable improvement in the past few games which is great to see.

Emerson Jeka (Eight disposals, three marks, two goals)

Jeka has been developing nicely as a key forward. He moves really well and is a strong leader coming at the footy. In the second half against Sydney, Jeka was able to take some great contested marks and really came into the game, showing everyone what he’s capable of. He hit the scoreboard with two goals for the game.

Dylan Moore (21 disposals, 11 handball receives, four marks, four tackles, four inside 50s, three goals)

Moorey had a great game. He played well both as a mid and a forward. He was able to impact the scoreboard with three goals, and I thought that came about on the back of his work-rate. As a forward, he was able to get separation and get used on the lead, or get front and centre and always looked dangerous.

Conor Nash (Eight disposals, two marks, four tackles, three inside 50s, one goal)

Nashy had his first game back after hurting his shoulder a few weeks ago. Pleasingly, Nashy was able to get through the game and you could see his confidence grow in his shoulder as the game went on. Nashy showed some positive signs, winning a crucial contest on the wing and running into a big goal from outside 50.

Oliver Hanrahan (23 disposals, eight marks, seven handball receives, six inside 50s, two goals)

Oll played his best game so far for our reserves side on the weekend. He looked super dangerous whenever he had the ball, collecting 23 touches and having six inside 50’s and kicking two goals. He was able to spend some time in the midfield this week, and his clever ball use was a standout on the game against Sydney.

Paul Puopolo (20 disposals, three marks, four tackles, four inside 50s, one goal)

Poppy had a fantastic attitude against Sydney and was one of our strongest performers. His leadership is invaluable to the younger players, and his chase pressure was at a very high level. He was clean with the footy, getting 20 touches and able to get on the scoreboard with a goal.
