Unrestricted free agent Isaac Smith will depart the Hawks having accepted a two-year contract with Geelong.
In farewelling Smith, GM-Football Graham Wright thanked him for his contribution to the brown and gold.
“Issie has been a part of a lot of success during his time at Hawthorn and has given our club a decade of valuable service,” said Wright.
“As an unrestricted free agent, Issie exercised his right to explore the market, that’s the nature of the mechanism of free agency.
“We wish Issie and his family all the best in their next chapter.”
Smith departs the Hawks with three premierships under his belt, having played a pivotal role in Hawthorn’s three-peat success.
Taken at Pick 19 as a mature age recruit in the 2010 National Draft, Smith debuted in Round 7 of the following year and went on to play 210 games in the brown and gold.
