AFL scraps top-20 NGA picks, new mid-season draft plan

Liam Shiels continued to be one of the Hawks most reliable and durable players in 2020.

Only Tom Mitchell and James Worpel recorded more disposals than Shiels this year, who averaged 17.9 touches per game.

The 29-year-old also missed just one game this season, as he courageously ground his way through a difficult campaign for the club.

His tackle numbers were also once again impressive, with just three of his teammates laying more tackles this year than him.

Shiels also had four games this year where he recorded 20-plus disposals and a goal, while his two-goal performance was integral to the club’s Round 9 win over Carlton.
