His career to this point:
Joining Will Day as a fellow South Australian draftee, Josh Morris was taken with Pick 57 in the 2019 national draft. A product of the Woodville-West Torrens in the SANFL, Morris impressed Hawks recruiters with his speed and aggression at the contest as well as his ability to hit the scoreboard as a forward.
2020 form:
Morris made an immediate impact in his first season at Hawthorn. The strongly-built youngster quickly rose to the level of senior football in his first year on the list, performing strongly in the club’s early scrimmage games. The 186cm forward’s strong form saw him make his AFL debut in the side’s Round 6 loss to Collingwood. Morris finished his campaign with four senior games to his name.
A look towards 2021:
Morris will be determined to build on his first season in the brown and gold. With enough senior experience to know what is required now at the elite level, Morris approaches this pre-season with a great base to progress from.
