Hawthorn VFLW will roll out a new-look side when it takes on the Western Bulldogs in its Round 1 clash on Sunday.
Meg Hutchins, Emily McIlvena and Emily Gilder are the only players of the Hawks team of 21 that have donned a brown and gold jumper at state league level previously.
The sheer quantity of fresh names represents an exciting new era for the club, with Bec Goddard also set to coach her first game for Hawthorn.
The AFLW premiership coach will lead an historic all-female coaching line-up, which includes Christina Polatajko, Hayley Gregory, Natasha Beck and past players Lou Wotton and Steph Carroll.
Among those playing on Sunday with AFLW experience are Hutchins, the newly-signed Abbey Holmes and the newly-appointed captain Jess Trend.
Hawthorn will take on the Dogs on Sunday February 28 at VU Whitten Oval at 10am.
