Hawthorn Coach Alastair Clarkson says he hopes the brown and gold faithful fill Marvel Stadium to capacity to celebrate Shaun Burgoyne's 400th game milestone on Saturday night.

"It's a remarkable achievement," Clarkson said.

"The game has been going a long time and there's only four guys who have made that milestone before Shaun and he is the first Indigenous player to ever get there.

"So, it's a pretty special day for his family, the football club and the wider footy community.

"He really has had a pretty incredible career."

ROUND 16 TEAM: Silk's all set for game 400!

Clarkson credited Burgoyne's humility and ability to so readily sacrifice his own game for the betterment of the team as the primary reasons the superstar finds himself celebrating such a rare milestone.
