The Hawks have sent the 30-year-old and a future fourth-round pick in exchange for a future third-round selection (tied to Brisbane).
Hawks land Lynch in last-minute move
Selected by the Hawks with Pick 15 in the 2012 rookie draft, Ceglar departs Hawthorn after 101 games over nine seasons.
Head of Football Rob McCartney thanked Ceglar for his hard work and dedication to the club.
“Jon was a much-loved member of our football team throughout his nine years at Hawthorn. His resilience and perseverance to play 100 games at our club is testament to his character,” McCartney said.
“He has made a significant contribution to our club both on and off-field, and we wish Jon and Charlotte all the best in his new journey at the Cats.”
