Hawthorn has been dealt a strong 2022 home and away fixture as the club sets its sights on an exciting, new era for the brown and gold.
Hawks members will be delighted at the news of four home games at the MCG to kick off the opening nine rounds of the season, which will include hosting Geelong in the rivals' traditional Easter Monday clash.
The blockbuster home match-ups at the MCG consist of the Cats clash, as well as hosting Richmond and Collingwood in Rounds 9 and 12 respectively.
Of the club's four home games at UTAS Stadium next year, the Tasmanian crowds will see the Hawks take on some of the competition's top sides with the Brisbane Lions visiting in Round 10, Gold Coast in Round 21, the Western Bulldogs in Round 23 all of which are headlined by a huge ANZAC Day game with the Sydney Swans in Round 6.

Hawthorn Chief Commercial Officer Ash Klein said the club was delighted that its members' loyalty would be rewarded with a flurry of home games to kick off the 2022 season.
"We're really excited that our members will be back at the footy next year and, with four of our first six games being home games, that's the real highlight for us following today's announcement," Klein said.
"Hosting some of the biggest clubs in the land at the MCG is what our members love to see so to have home games against Geelong, Richmond and Collingwood at the 'G is really pleasing.
"Although we are disappointed for our incredibly loyal members in Queensland that we haven't been scheduled for a match - due largely to the Suns hosting us in Darwin for Sir Doug Nicholls Round - we will ensure that we reward their loyalty at some stage next season."
The AFL has released the full fixture details for Rounds 1 to 9, with further details on the remaining rounds to come.
