Hawthorn will make its long-awaited return to Friday night football when it takes on the Western Bulldogs under lights at Marvel Stadium in Round 15.

It’s among three further games confirmed for the Hawks, with the AFL revealing the fixture for Rounds 12 to 15 on Thursday.

Hawthorn will host Collingwood in a blockbuster clash at the MCG in Round 12.

The much-anticipated match-up will be the first time the Hawks have hosted the Pies in front of a crowd at the MCG in nearly three years.

Callow gets his chance

The Hawks will then head west to take on Fremantle in a Saturday afternoon game at Optus Stadium, before heading into their bye the following week in Round 14.

Chief Commercial Officer Ash Klein said the latest fixture release brought another enthralling slate of games to Hawthorn members and fans.

“It’s really exciting to see the club make a return to Friday night footy in a match that coincides with the kick-off of Victorian mid-year school holidays,” Klein said.

“The game has been brought forward to an earlier 7pm timeslot, instead of the typical 7.50pm bounce, in what creates a family-friendly fixture for the Hawthorn faithful.

“In addition, this will be a Hawthorn member access game, so it is certainly one for our members to put in their diaries.

“Our Round 12 home game is also one we are really looking forward to as the club always relishes the challenge of coming up against one of the powerhouse Victorian clubs.”
