Star forward Jack Gunston is set to be in contention for this Sunday’s clash against Greater Western Sydney.

Gunston, who has booted 15 goals so far this season from 10 games, has missed the last month of football due to an ankle injury.

In another positive for the Hawks, young defender Will Day will also be available for selection after he was cleared from the AFL’s health and safety protocols.

Chad Wingard is on track for his return as well following a calf injury.

Meanwhile, Max Lynch and Ben McEvoy have made further progress forward in their respective recoveries.
