James Sicily has taken out Hawthorn’s final MVP for the season following an impressive performance in his side’s Round 23 loss to the Western Bulldogs on Sunday at UTAS Stadium.

Sicily’s first half was particularly influential, having recorded game-highs across several statistics including 23 disposals, 13 marks, 2 contested marks, 468 meters gained, 7 intercept possessions.

Despite a quieter second half, the star defender managed to still finish the match with a career-best and game-high 33 disposals and 17 marks, along with a game-high 748 metres gained.

Known for his impeccable marking skills, Sicily has finished the home-and-away season with more marks than any other player in the league this year, averaging 8.6 per game.
