Season summary:
Morrison took another exciting step forward in season 2022, cementing a spot in Hawthorn’s developing midfield.
Playing mostly on the wing, Morrison’s consistency was arguably his greatest asset as he enjoyed a career-best average of 19.2 disposals and 5.8 marks per game.
Using his pace and strong decision-making skills, Morrison averaged an elite 13.3 kicks per game, which was also a career-high.
After being rewarded a fresh two-year contract to stay in the brown and gold, Morrison could yet take his game to another level next year.
Best AFL game:
Morrison made the most of Hawthorn’s Round 16 clash against GWS, with a career-high 25 disposals, including seven inside 50s. He was among the Hawks best in a tough loss, also recording four marks, six tackles, while booting one goal.
How the coaches saw him:
“Harry had a really consistent year, he spent some time half back and some half forward, but was mostly on the wing and became our mainstay winger. He was really consistent with his work rate and his leadership and his ball use was really strong – he took a big step forward this year with his development. We’re looking for him to take things to the next level next year." – Robert Harvey
