Defensive duo Jenna Richardson and Ainslie Kemp are a test for Hawthorn’s Friday night clash against West Coast at SkyBus Stadium, Frankston.
Richardson has made significant progress in her recovery from a thigh injury, recently returning to the main training group.
“Jenna has progressed at a faster rate than expected, which is a credit to her hard work,” High Performance Manager Olivia Knowles said.
“She has returned to the main group training and be will tested during the week to determine her availability.”
Kemp is recovering well from illness and is also a chance to take the field in Round 6.
“Ainslie missed our clash against Sydney due to illness but has taken the time to rest and recover and is expected to be available this week,” Knowles said.
Unfortunately the news isn’t as positive for Eliza Shannon who is yet to pass concussion protocols. She will remain unavailable this week, according to Knowles.
Leaders Tamara Luke and Louise Stephenson are both progressing well in their recoveries from a knee and ankle injury, respectively.
“Tamara has undergone successful surgery to repair her ACL rupture,” Knowles said.
“She has commenced non-weight bearing rehabilitation with our medical team.
“Lou has transitioned to full weight bearing walking and is progressing well in her strength and off-legs rehabilitation. She will look to commence running in the coming weeks.”
