Kaitlyn Ashmore, Eliza Shannon and Laura Elliott will all undergo tests to prove their fitness for Hawthorn’s clash against Port Adelaide on Saturday night.
Ashmore and Elliott both experienced soreness ahead of the Hawthorn's battle with West Coast but could suit up this weekend, according to AFLW High Performance Manager Olivia Knowles.
“Kaitlyn experienced low-grade hamstring signs last week and was rested to allow these to settle. She will be tested at main training this week,” Knowles said.
“Laura was rested last week following ongoing hip soreness that flared following our Round 5 game. She will undergo a test this week to determine her availability.”
Shannon has been on the sidelines since Round 3 due to concussion but Knowles said she could be available this week.
“Eliza’s concussion symptoms have subsided and she will be tested with full contact training this week to determine her availability,” Knowles said.
Leadership group members Louise Stephenson and Tamara Luke are also making steady steps in their recovery.
Luke is continuing her non-weight bearing rehabilitation while Stephenson is set to commence running at the back end of this week.
