Hawthorn has selected Bailey Macdonald with Pick 51 in the 2022 national draft.
Macdonald's bolter status is evidenced in more ways than one, with his run-and-gun style off half-back making him a real eye-catcher.
The 18-year-old is not afraid to take the game on, bursting away from opponents behind him and weaving through them with line-breaking pace.
The speedster's form for Wesley College translated to four Oakleigh Chargers outings, and his eventual debut in the Big V as Metro clinched this year's National Championship.
Macdonald impressed enough at school football level to earn Vic Metro selection and a state draft combine invite.
Having made the most of his opportunities, Macdonald looks set to be a developable option for the Hawks, who could potentially slot in either off half-back or on the wing.
