Eight current and former Hawks have been named in the initial squad for the AFLPA 22under22 Team of the Decade.
With 2023 marking a decade since the first AFL Players’ Association (AFLPA) 22Under22 team was named, fans now have their chance to select the AFLPA 22Under22 Team of the Decade.
Fans are able to choose from almost 150 players, all of which have been named in at least one 22under22 side since 2013.
Current players James Sicily, Luke Breust, Changkuoth Jiath, James Worpel and Chad Wingard are all in the mix, as well as former Hawks Tom Phillips, Jack Gunston and Jaeger O’Meara.
The 22under22 competition is run every year, in which the best players under 22 years of age are selected to the side as voted by fans.
Players have been placed in the position where they played majority of their football during 2013–2022, according to Champion Data.
Voting will close on March 1 with the final side announced on March 9.
The fan whose team is best matched to the final team wins a 22Under22Team of the Decade jumper and a $250 Prezzee voucher, thanks to Snaffle.
