Hawthorn fans will get the chance to see recruits Karl Amon and Lloyd Meek don the brown and gold for the first time when the Hawks take on Geelong at GMHBA Stadium on Thursday.

Amon and Meek headline a squad of 29 Hawks, with draftees Josh Weddle and Henry Hustwaite also set for a run in the clubs' first pre-season hit-out of the year.

The match simulation will consist of eight 30-minute play periods (no time-on), with both AFL and VFL-listed players participating.

The meeting will provide the Hawks with the perfect litmus test as they come up against the reigning premiers on their home deck.
