Hawthorn has released its extended squad for Sunday’s Round 2 clash against Sydney at the SCG.
Defensive duo Jack Scrimshaw and Denver Grainger-Barras join small forward pair Tyler Brockman and Sam Butler as additions to the club's extended bench, which will be trimmed down to four on Friday afternoon.
The Hawks face a tough challenge as they take on last season's grand finalists on their home deck, following a disappointing Round 1 defeat to Essendon.
The brown and gold will travel to the SCG with fond memories of its last visit in Round 13 2021, enjoying a 38-point win over Sydney, which coincided with young gun Jai Newcombe's first game.
Hawthorn will announce its Round 2 team on Friday at 5pm on www.hawthornfc.com.au and across its Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.
