Powerful forward/ utility Mattea Breed has joined Hawthorn via Pick 4 in the AFLW Season Eight supplementary draft.

The 21-year-old stands at 174cm and has previously dominated at SANFLW and NTFL levels, winning two competition best and fairests and the league's Women's Rising Star award while with the Darwin Buffaloes.

Which AFL/ AFLW player would you compare yourself to?

I'm not really sure! I'm a huge Sydney Swans fan though and I'd probably say I've got a bit of a hard-nut attitude like Tom Papley, but we are not built the same at all and I can't kick as well as him (yet!)

Who is your biggest role model?

My Mum. I absolutely admire her.

What do you do outside of footy?

I like doing active stuff. I love bouldering and tennis and I also like to spend time with my dog, Kobe. I'm also currently studying to become a personal trainer.

Who was your favourite footy player growing up?

Adam Goodes. 

What's your favourite TV show/ movie?

The Office.

Who's your favourite artist/ band?

Luke Coombs or Tyler Childers.

Do you have a hidden talent?

I'm really good at headstands and I play piano!

Being drafted by Hawthorn.
