Youngster Josh Ward and mercurial forward Chad Wingard are set to put their hands up for selection this weekend, with the injured pair likely to be declared fit for Round 12.
Ward has been dealing with some bone soreness in his foot, causing him to miss the past three matches.
Hawthorn High Performance Manager Peter Burge said the 19-year-old has put in a solid training block ahead of his return.
"Josh fully trained today with the main group, and will do main training again on Thursday," Burge said.
"If that all goes well and to plan, he'll be available for selection on the weekend."
Meanwhile, Wingard looks to have overcome a calf strain suffered in the Round 8 clash with Fremantle.
"He's recovered really well," Burge said.
He's freshened up a little bit, and will fully train on Thursday. All being good on that session, he'll be available for selection."
The return of Changkuoth Jiath is likely on hold until after the bye, with the star defender to be given as much time as necessary to overcome his calf complaint.
"We are in that situation now where it hasn't progressed as quickly, he's certainly made some progression and is running outside," Burge said.
I think at this stage, it's 50-50 for next week. I would say Round 14, which is actually a bye, would be more realistic."
