Hawthorn has welcomed back defender Jack Scrimshaw to its side as it prepares to take on Port Adelaide at Adelaide Oval this Saturday.
The talented 24-year-old returns to the top level having last played in Round 8 against Fremantle.
He will replace Hawthorn skipper James Sicily, who has been ruled out with a one-week suspension.
Known for his strong aerial presence in the defensive half, Scrimshaw has averaged 17.5 disposals and 5.1 marks per outing across his six-year career so far.
First-year Hawk Cam Mackenzie rounds out the changes for the brown and gold, with the 19-year-old set to be rested.
General Manager of Football Rob McCartney said Scrimshaw’s inclusion was earned on the back several strong performances for Box Hill.
“This is reward for Jack, having put together a solid block of form in the VFL the past few weeks,” McCartney said.
“Jack is obviously a talented addition and he’ll no doubt play an important role in defence for us on Saturday.
“This is an opportunity for him to return to the senior side and build back to his best with plenty of footy play this year.”
