Luke Breust has won the Round 12 MVP award following a solid performance on a tough day at Adelaide Oval, which saw the Hawks go down to Port Adelaide by 55 points.

The stand-in captain produced his best goalkicking performance of the season with five goals for the day. 

The star forward celebrated his 500th career goal in style, achieving the milestone in the first quarter before going on to kick another four majors.

The 32-year-old complemented his haul with 15 disposals, six marks and nine score involvements.
