Jai Newcombe has taken out the fan-voted MVP for Round 13, following Hawthorn's stunning win over the Brisbane Lions at the MCG on Saturday.

The 21-year-old's influence across the afternoon was instrumental, most notably in a monster third quarter, where Newcombe gathered 12 possessions and took five marks.

The dominant term helped dragged the Hawks from a 17-point hole at half time, to be up by 10 points at the final change.

Newcombe powered ahead in the final term to finish his day with 28 disposals, five marks and five clearances.

Along with 477 metres gained, his offensive damage was telling, registering nine inside 50s and 11 score involvements.
