Retro Round is back in 2023 and we've gone through the archives to bring back one of your faves from the 90s!
More than 10,000 Hawks members and fans voted and the winning guernsey was THE BIG HAWK.
The original Big Hawk was worn throughout the 1997, 1998 and 1999 pre-season competitions and as an away guernsey in the 1997 and 1998 AFL Premiership seasons.
It's greatest moment came when Hawthorn won the 1999 Ansett Australia Cup taking out Port Adelaide to be crowned pre-season premiers in this guernsey.
The guernsey features:
- A replica of the 90s design on our modern ISC guernsey
- The wrap-around Big Hawk
- Sublimated 1990s official AFL Premiership logo
- An ode to the 1999 Ansett Australia Cup premiership winning team inside the neck
- The flaming Hawks logo inside the hemline

Hawthorn will wear this Retro Guernsey when they take on Collingwood in Round 21 at the MCG on Saturday 5 August at 4.35pm. Tickets available now.
