Will Day has continued his dominant run to earn the Round 15 fan-voted MVP in Hawthorn's disappointing 67-point loss to the Gold Coast Suns on Sunday.

Battling hard all afternoon, Day was a shining light on a dour trip to the sunshine state for the developing Hawks, collecting 29 disposals, nine marks, four tackles and three clearances.

With the brown and gold on the back foot for most of the match, Day helped create much of Hawthorn's momentum from the back half, finishing with five rebound 50s, 450 metres gained and 11 intercept possessions.

Day's permanent move to the midfield in 2023 is paying dividends weekly, with the youngster thriving while shouldering a mammoth load.

The 22-year-old, who recently committed his future to the club by penning a long-term deal, is putting up career-best numbers in 2023, averaging 26.2 disposals, 5.7 marks, 4.6 clearances and 3.7 tackles per match.
