Hawthorn's 2023 AFLW fixture has been unveiled, with a host of exciting clashes set to come from Saturday 2 September.

Here's everything you need to know about the season:

4 games at Frankston

Frankston's Kinetic Stadium will be Hawthorn's AFLW home base in 2023, following success at the venue in 2022.

Of the three games payed there last season, Hawthorn won two, claiming scalps over West Coast in Round 6 and Port Adelaide in Round 7.

This season, the Hawks will open up their 2023 campaign at Kinetic Stadium against Essendon before hosting another three blockbuster clashes against Melbourne in Round 4, Brisbane in Round 5 and Port Adelaide in Round 9.

Hawks members get access to all of these games, and purchasing a membership is as simple as clicking the banner at the bottom of this article.

4 new venues

Hawthorn will play an AFLW game for the first time at Cazaly's Stadium when it takes on Richmond on Friday 20 October at 6.45pm.

The clash coincides with the AFLW's Indigenous Round, so it will be a special occasion for Hawthorn players and staff as well as an unmissable prospect for Hawks fans.

The other venues Hawthorn will play at for the first time are based in Victoria, with the Hawks set to descend on Mars Stadium in Round 2 against the Western Bulldogs, RSEA Park in Round 6 against St Kilda and GMHBA Stadium in Round 10 against Geelong.

3 Sunday blockbusters

Hawthorn will take on the Western Bulldogs, Brisbane and Port Adelaide on Sundays this season.

It all begins in Round 2 when the Hawks travel to Mars Stadium to face the Bulldogs on Sunday 10 September at 1.05pm, hoping to avenge for a 30-point loss in miserable conditions last season.

Emily Bates and Greta Bodey's clash against their old side is set to draw a massive Sunday afternoon crowd at Kinetic Stadium, as the premiership duo faces off against Brisbane for the first time in Round 5.

After that, the Hawks will be aiming to emulate last year's 13-point win against Port Adelaide at Kinetic Stadium in Round 9 this season.

That match will take place under the breathtaking Frankston sunset, with the first bounce at 5.05pm.

2 new teams

Hawthorn will go head-to-head with Melbourne and Geelong for the first time in the club's AFLW history this season.

The Hawks will host the Demons, who are the reigning AFLW premiers, in Round 4 under Friday night lights at Kinetic Stadium.

They'll then finish their home-and-away campaign against archrivals Geelong at GMHBA Stadium, with that clash taking place in the AFLW's Pride Round.

2 themed rounds

Indigenous Round and Pride Round will be a showpiece of the AFLW competition in 2023.

The first of the themed rounds take place over Rounds 7 and 8, with the Hawks set to face Sydney at Henson Park on Saturday 14 October before hosting Richmond at Cazaly's Stadium on Friday 20 October at 6.45pm.

After that, Pride Round takes centre-stage in Round 10, with the Hawks to face Geelong on the weekend of Friday 3 November - Sunday 5 November.

1 Cairns classic awaits

Hawthorn will host the league's first game at Cairns' Cazaly's Stadium on Friday 20 October at 6.45pm against Richmond.

The Round 8 clash coincides with the AFLW's Indigenous Round, so it promises to be a special occasion for Hawks players, staff and fans.

The Hawks have just returned from a successful pre-season camp in the region which included match simulation against some of Cairns' most talented players.

Having already had a taste of the venue, Hawthorn will be looking to turn around last season's 35-point loss against the Tigers at Punt Road Oval.
