James Merlino joined the Board for the first time in 2022 after retiring from Victorian Parliament.
During his 20-year parliamentary career, Merlino filled a variety of senior positions, including Deputy Premier and Minister for Education.
He is also the Chair of Rest Industry Superannuation Fund.
Hawthorn will head back to the MCG to face Melbourne for the second time this year as part of the Dees' Pink Lady Match.
