Hawthorn has made two changes to its side to face Fremantle this Saturday at the MCG in the final round of the home and away season.
Jai Newcombe headlines the pair of inclusions, with mid-season recruit Brandon Ryan also named in the team.
Denver Grainger-Barras, Ned Long and Max Ramsden are the three confirmed outs, while Jai Serong has been selected in the starting 22 after coming on as the sub last week.
General Manager of Football Rob McCartney said both additions will play important roles on Saturday.
“To have a player of Jai’s calibre returning is a huge boost for our team, he was in terrific form prior to some minor hamstring tightness, and will no doubt be looking to finish the year with another strong performance,” McCartney said.
“As for Brandon, he had some unfortunate luck in being struck down by illness following his breakout game against the Pies in Round 21, where he kicked three goals. His return gives him another chance to experience football at the top level.”
