Young star Will Day has taken out Hawthorn’s overall fan-voted MVP award following a stellar 2023 campaign.

Day earned an impressive five MVP honours over the course of the year, including four nods from the first seven rounds.

The 22-year-old, who has enjoyed a switch from the defence to the middle this year, averaged 25.6 disposals, 4.2 clearances and 5.8 marks per game across his 21 appearances.

Day has been one of the Hawks most consistent contributors this season and it was just last week that the youngster was named in the AFLPA's 22Under22 team.

Midfield counterpart Jai Newcombe and captain James Sicily finished tied in second place with four nominations each, while James Worpel claimed third spot with three nominations to his name.
