Hawthorn has made two changes for its clash with Melbourne at Kinetic Stadium (Frankston) on Friday night.

Midfielder Bridget Deed comes in for her first game of the season while Tahlia Fellows also makes her return in the forward line.

As previously mentioned this week, defender Louise Stephenson will miss Friday night's match due to concussion.

She joins Akec Makur Chuot on the sidelines, with the speedy winger being managed.

Hawthorn General Manager of Football Operations Max Bailey was thrilled to welcome Deed and Fellows back into the fold on Friday night.

"Friday night is a great opportunity for two young players in Bridget and Tahlia to step up," Bailey said.

"Bridget's investment in the program despite not playing has shown us what sort of person she is on and off the field.

"We look forward to seeing her test herself against some of the best players in the competition.

"Since coming out of the side after Round 1, Tahlia has shown good signs and consistency on the track which is why she's getting another chance in our line-up."
