Season summary:
Butler nearly doubled his total games played in 2023, as the young forward enjoyed a strong year of developing in his second year at the top level. Showing flashes of brilliance in attack, the speedster has proven he has all the tools to become one of Hawthorn's most dangerous small forwards in the years to come. With 17 appearances under his belt through two seasons, the 20-year-old will look to piece together a strong pre-season leading into 2024.

Butler was among several lively Hawks forwards in the brown and gold's big win over West Coast in Round 10. The youngster collected a career-high 16 disposals, including three goal assists and nine score involvements, and laid six tackles.

"Butsy has got great speed, when he is able to use that in offence, that is when he is looks at his best. He played a lot of high half-forward across the season and was able to provide a lot of energy and movement.
