Season summary:

Ramsden made his AFL debut against the Western Bulldogs earlier in the year after a strong start to the season in the VFL. A mid-season pick from 2022, the young ruck has big wraps on him and has put on significant size since arriving at the club, with his marking and poise in front of goal a key feature of his game. He has played well both as a solo ruck and a ruck-forward with Box Hill this year, showcasing his adaptability to his game.

“To see Rama play two games this year was a really good reward for a young key position player. When he initially came in, I think he was only 85kg. He’s got a really good running tank, one-on-one he has got a really good mark on him too, we’ve just got to continue to build his size and strength. His running power is strong, he just needs to use that more in the AFL games that he gets. Now that he has tasted that AFL experience, he should know what that level is against good quality ruckman or defenders.” - David Hale
