Hawthorn will host the first ever AFLW match at Cazalys Stadium, Cairns on Friday night when it takes on Richmond.
The Hawks spent their pre-season camp in the region so will fancy their chances of getting back-to-back wins come Friday night.

Before the action gets underway between the Hawks and Tigers, Cazalys Stadium will play host to a game between local teams Cape York House Girls and Far North Queensland Best.
Then, settle in for a historic night under Friday night lights, with a beautiful Welcome to Country set to commence official proceedings.
While you’re walking around the ground, help yourself to food, drinks, kids activities, giveaways and more!
Hawthorn will again be proudly wearing its 2023 Indigenous Guernsey, designed by Woi-Wurrung Wurundjeri and Yorta-Yorta designer Simone Thomson.
The guernsey is titled ‘Ballerrt Ngawan’ and means ‘strong sun’.

Round 8 v Richmond is a home game for the Hawks.
All AFLW members will have access to this game.

It was a difficult day for the Hawks, battling tough conditions and an experienced team at Punt Road Oval.
However, Aileen Gilroy played one of her best games in Hawks colours, kicking one goal to go with 17 disposals and 12 tackles.
Captain Tilly Lucas-Rodd also chipped in with 17 disposals to complement their eight tackles and seven clearances.
Getting to Cazalys Stadium
By Car
There is limited parking available within close proximity of Cazaly’s Stadium such as DFO and the large industrial area of Newell Street. Please obey traffic signs at all times. The Cazaly’s Social Club carpark is for Cazaly’s Members only. There is no public parking within the Cazaly’s Stadium precinct.
By Bus
Current timetables are available here. Buses depart Cairns Central Terminal, Spece Street every 20 minutes on weekdays to Mulgrave Road on Bus 141, 142 and 143.
By Taxi
At the conclusion of the match, taxis will be available from the Tills Street and Cazaly’s Social Club taxi ranks.
