Finn Maginness has claimed Round 5 MVP honours for his performance in Hawthorn's 53-point loss to Gold Coast at People First Stadium on Saturday night.
The 23-year-old has played multiple roles for the Hawks since his debut in 2020, including in defence, through the midfield and as a tagger but against the Suns, he was tried as a forward.
He seemed to flourish in his new role, kicking three goals to go with his 16 disposals and seven marks, with four of those coming inside 50.
Maginness was able to back that up with five score involvements despite a disappointing day for his team overall.
Before Saturday night's encounter, Maginness had kicked four career goals - almost doubling his tally in just one night this round.
Across his four games this season, he has produced averages of 13.8 disposals and 3.3 marks.
