Last time we met

North Melbourne (40) defeated by Hawthorn (88) in Round 18, 2023

It was a successful day for the Hawks at Marvel Stadium, fighting back from an inaccurate start to record a 48-point win over the Kangaroos.

The victory marked the team's biggest at Marvel Stadium since Round 22, 2019.

Mitch Lewis and Luke Breust were the Hawks leading goalkickers on the day with three apiece while Jai Newcombe and Karl Amon each registered a team-high 33 disposals.

Our last game

Gold Coast (109) defeated Hawthorn (56)

It was a disappointing day for the Hawks at People First Stadium, succumbing to their fifth loss of the season to the tune of 43 points.

Sam Mitchell's men found it difficult to score from the get-go with just three goals on the board by half-time.

Their woes continued from there with the Suns outscoring the Hawks by five goals in the second half.

Finn Maginness was a bright spark for the Hawks with three goals for the game in a new inside 50 role.

Karl Amon topped the team's disposal-getters in his 150th AFL match with 26.

What's on?

Hawthorn forward Jack Gunston will return for his first AFL game since Round 2.

The 32-year-old has been impressive for Box Hill in the VFL, averaging 15 disposals and kicking three goals in his two appearances so far this season.

He will be joined in the side by midfielder Harry Morrison and defender Jai Serong who have also earned their stripes through their VFL form.
