Hawthorn is geared up to face Brisbane for its second game in Sir Doug Nicholls Round on Sunday afternoon at Marvel Stadium.
The Hawks will once again be proudly donning this year’s Indigenous Guernsey, inspired by the story of Hawthorn legend Chance Bateman and designed by Whadjuk, Ballardong and Eastern Arrernte artist Jade Dolman.

Proud Yorta Yorta man Jarman Impey will captain the team for a second consecutive week against the Lions.
Hawthorn will come into this match with a good track record against Brisbane, coming out triumphant in its last four encounters.

A competitive Hawks side came out to play against the Lions, finishing the game leading all key stats.
After trailing by 17 points at half-time the Hawks took flight in the third term, kicking six goals to Brisbane’s two to take the lead.
Key forward Mitch Lewis played one of his best games for the season, finishing the match with four goals.
Defender James Sicily stayed strong down back, racking up 32 disposals.

Yartapuulti (80) defeated Hawthorn (79) at Adelaide Oval
It was a tough day out for the Hawks as a tenacious Yartapuulti outfit turned it up a notch in the fourth term.
After possessing a 41-point lead in the third quarter, the Hawks conceded four goals to none in the fourth, allowing Yartapuulti to capture the lead within the final minute.
Blake Hardwick was the match’s leading goal kicker finishing with five goals.
Young gun Massimo D’Ambrosio also put on a show, racking up 28 disposals and four clearances.

The Hawks will play their second game of Sir Doug Nicholls Round at home in front of the Hawthorn faithful.
The team will be wearing their 2024 Indigenous guernsey, designed by Whadjuk, Ballardong and Eastern Arrernte artist Jade Dolman.
Hawks fans will have the opportunity to watch a documentary before the match explaining the meaning behind the 2024 Indigenous Guernsey from the words of Chance Bateman, who the guernsey is inspired by.

Wurundjeri Elder Aunty Joy Murphy Wandin AO will also be performing a Welcome to Country pre-game.
Fans can then enjoy a pre-game dance and didgeridoo performance from Indigenous dance group Bandok Tati.
Bandok Tati use their traditional song and dance to tell stories and represent the lore and the rich ancestral legacies from which they descended from. They dance to make sure they continue the traditions that their ancestors have been practicing for over 2000 generations and to make their old people proud.
As part of Hawthorn’s partnership with Deadly Choices, the team will be warming up in Deadly Choices t-shirts. Deadly Choices is an organisation that aims to empower Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to help them to make healthier choices for themselves and their families.
The Hawks will also host a pre-game smoking ceremony on the ground before the first bounce.
As the team runs out, Hawthorn's song will be played in Woi Wurrung language, performed by proud Wurundjeri woman and granddaughter of Aunty Joy, Chenile Chandler.

Round 11 is a home game for the Hawks at Marvel Stadium.
