Last time we met

Hawthorn (76) defeated by Adelaide (79) in Round 6, 2023

The Hawks narrowly went down to the Crows at UTAS Stadium in a seesawing contest.

It was tight from start to finish with each team kicking the exact same amount of goals in each quarter.

In the end, it was Adelaide's late push that saw it win the game, having had the last six scores of the game.

Hawthorn's pressure was electric though, winning the tackles 87-74.

Midfielder Conor Nash was one of Hawthorn's best on the day with one goal, 28 disposals, seven tackles and seven clearances.

Our last game

Hawthorn (100) defeated Brisbane (75) at Marvel Stadium

Hawthorn returned to winning ways against Brisbane with a 25-point victory at Marvel Stadium.

The Hawks got out of the gates quickly, kicking four goals to the Lions' one, before opening up a 24-point lead at half-time.

It got tight at the end of the third term with Brisbane reducing its buffer to eight points but pleasingly, the Hawks were able to kick away and record their fourth win of the season.

Jack Gunston turned back the clock with four goals while James Worpel dominated in the midfield with 28 disposals.

James Sicily also made a triumphant return in the backline, recording 26 disposals and taking eight marks.

What's on?

Much-loved Hawthorn forward Jack Gunston will play his 250th AFL match on Saturday afternoon.

It is fitting that he will achieve this milestone against the Crows, given that is where he made his debut 14 years ago.

The three-time premiership star will also have a chance to reunite with his 2014 premiership teammates, with a number of them in attendance at the MCG.

Fans can hear from those premiership players on-ground at 1.20pm as they reminisce on their success.

The final quarter of the 2014 triumph will also be shown on the big screen at 12.30pm in a treat for those Hawks fans arriving early.

On-ground activations include the KFC bucket catch at quarter-time, the Skechers special giveaway at half-time and the iiNet LED race at three-quarter-time, with Max Lynch returning as your MC for the day.
