Hawthorn has appointed Aaron Kellett as its AFLW High Performance Manager.
Kellett brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the brown and gold following an impressive background in several elite sporting environments spanning two decades.
For seven years, Kellett held the position of Physical Performance Coach for the Australian Men’s Cricket team, working extensively to ensure the peak performances through the rigours of gruelling summers and international touring.
Prior, Kellett accumulated years of experience at Tennis Australia as the Physical Performance, along with time spent as the Western Bulldogs Physical Performance Manager.
Hawthorn General Manager of Football Operations Max Bailey said the addition of Kellett would benefit the club’s young and talented list immensely.
“We’re thrilled to appoint such an incredibly experienced person in Aaron to spearhead our high performance program,” Bailey said.
“Aaron’s knowledge is first class and I’m sure our players are eager to learn from him as he and his team shape the program to bring the best out of each player.
“He possesses some exceptional leadership and coaching traits, making him a great fit with our playing list as we begin a new chapter.
“In welcoming Aaron, we also farewell Olivia Knowles and acknowledge her service in our AFLW program over the first two seasons.”
Kellett will now integrate into the club’s AFLW program as it prepares for the beginning of pre-season on Monday 3 June.
