Hawthorn has made two changes for its clash with Richmond at the MCG on Saturday afternoon.

Ruckman Lloyd Meek makes his return from an ankle injury, with Ned Reeves coming out of the side after being subbed out of Hawthorn's six-point win over GWS last weekend with a back issue.

Livewire forward Nick Watson also comes back into the team following an excellent string of performances in the VFL in which he kicked eight goals across two matches.

Defender Seamus Mitchell has been omitted for the battle with the Tigers.

Hawthorn Executive General Manager of Football Rob McCartney said it was pleasing to welcome Meek and Watson back into the side.

"We’re thrilled to have Lloyd return after two weeks with an ankle injury," McCartney said.

"He has shown significant growth in his game this season and he is looking forward to the challenge this week matching up against Richmond’s Toby Nankervis.

"After some injury interruptions, Nick has been able to successfully return to game play via our VFL team.

"His performances over the past fortnight have seen him find plenty of the football and hit the scoreboard.

"The MCG stage is one that I’m sure he’s looking forward to getting back on."

Hawthorn's clash with Richmond begins at 4.35pm on Saturday and will be televised on Fox Footy and Kayo Sports.
